The Young Ministers’ Forum (YMF) of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria held a powerful Mentorship and Impartation Conference on Monday, October 6, 2025, the first day of the ongoing Platinum Jubilee National Convention at the Foursquare International Camp, Ajebo, Ogun State.

The session marked the first major ministration of the General Overseer, Rev. Dr. Sam Aboyeji, at this year’s convention, as he ministered on the theme “Fulfilling Purpose.”

Drawing from Ecclesiastes 3:1 and Isaiah 14:7, Rev. Aboyeji emphasized that every believer must understand God’s purpose for their lives and walk in it diligently. He declared that “God always has a purpose, and there is a time for every purpose under heaven,” reminding ministers that “purpose enhances value because when purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable.”

The General Overseer shared several thought-provoking insights, noting that:

* Purpose is the mother of motivation and the father of commitment.
* When a man misses purpose, he is used for a lesser purpose.
* A man of purpose does not pay attention to every little thing — he only has time for one thing: his purpose.
* Stagnation happens when people don’t know their purpose.

Using the life of Moses as a case study, he highlighted practical steps to fulfilling divine purpose, including pleasing God rather than people, embracing short-term pain for long-term gain, living by the values of God’s kingdom, and choosing faith over fear.

When asked about the guiding principle behind his ministry, Rev. Aboyeji said, “Obedience to God is at the top of the list. It takes courage to obey God.”

The YMF Conference, coordinated by Rev. Faith Oluwagbesan, also featured an award presentation recognizing outstanding performance among districts and axes. Magodo District emerged 1st place, followed by Sango-Ibadan District in 2nd place and Warri District in 3rd place.
Among the axes, Warri Axis was named Axis of the Year for its excellence in mentorship and training, while Abuja Axis and Agege Axis took 2nd and 3rd places respectively. Ajah District received a Special Award for Generosity.

A deeply memorable moment came when G.O. Emeritus, Rev. Gabriel O. Olufarombi, made an appearance, releasing fatherly blessings and prophetic prayers over the young ministers. He charged them to remain steadfast, obedient, and faithful to God’s call.

In an announcement made by Pastor Olawale Perfect, the Assistant National Secretary of YMF, it was revealed that the next major program of the forum will be the NextGen Fire Conference, scheduled to hold in 2026.

The Young Ministers’ Forum (YMF) continues to advance its divine mandate of Mentorship, Training, Impartation, and Deployment, raising a generation of ministers passionate about fulfilling God’s purpose and advancing His kingdom.
